Front of House Cards

Front of House cards were originally produced to promote the release of selected movies in cinemas here in the UK. Very similar in appearance to their American counterparts (known as "Lobby Cards" or "Colour Stills"), FoH cards typically measure 10" x 8" and were often pinned inside glass display cabinets either within or outside of the cinema entrance (hence "Front of House"). After many decades of use they swiftly became obsolete with the rise of out-of-town "Multiplex" cinemas and their digital movie marketing methods. Requiring less space and being more affordable to movie posters, these beautiful pieces of memorabilia have continued to rise in popularity with cinephiles and collectors over the years.
