La-La Land Records, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Universal Music Enterprises proudly present the 60th anniversary remastered and expanded 2-CD re-issue of renowned composer John Barry’s original motion picture score to the fourth James Bond film, THUNDERBALL. Produced by Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, the 1965 film stars Sean Connery as James Bond 007 and is directed by Terence Young, returning to the series for the third time.

As illustrated within this exhilarating remastered showcase – THUNDERBALL sounds sensational and it cements its legacy as one of Barry’s finest works. Included are the iconic title song “Thunderball” by Barry and lyricist Don Black performed by Tom Jones, as well as the song “Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” by Barry and lyricist Leslie Bricusse, with versions performed by Dionne Warwick and Shirley Bassey! Expanded beyond previous soundtrack editions, THUNDERBALL is unleashed like never before within this deluxe presentation.
Produced by Neil S. Bulk, mastered by Doug Schwartz, and mixed by Chris Malone, the 91 minute score presentation (on Discs 1 & 2) and 39 minute original 1965 album (on Disc 2) are sourced from 3-track and 2-track stereo tapes. Additional music cues (on Disc 2) are from 3-track tapes, except for two score cues which were unavailable on the stereo tapes and have been sourced from the mono film music stem and processed into stereo.
Limited to 5000 units, this release features sharp art direction by Dan Goldwasser, with a new front cover designed by Jim Titus. The exclusive, in-depth liner notes are by journalist and author Jon Burlingame.
