Description

The haunting, debut release on 10″ vinyl from Manchester indie/rock band Doves (featuring the same band members as the short-lived UK dance outfit “Sub Sub”).

It is widely believed that only 1000 copies of this beautiful record were produced (and self-released by the band on their own label “Casino Records”). This release is sometimes confused with the later re-issue of the title song “The Cedar Room” – which was released on Heavenly Records. However, that single was on 12″ vinyl and CD – and the sleeve design and b-sides were both different..

This, the “Cedar EP” (release #CHIP001) was the band’s debut release – and is considerably harder to track down as a result.
